Jefferson City — The Missouri Republican Party released the following statement on the special election to fill the vacant seat in the Missouri House of Representatives, District 50.
“We want to express our warmest congratulations to Sara Walsh, whose enthusiasm and heart to serve her party has inspired us all. Sara is a dedicated conservative with a strong work ethic, and we look forward to seeing all she will accomplish in her new role in the Missouri House.
“We are also extremely grateful to the many volunteers who paved the way to victory by working around the clock to mobilize support for Sara and promote her message.
“Far-left liberals like Claire McCaskill spent a lot of money trying to flip this district in their favor, but the voters spoke loud and clear—they want to further conservative values. Like the majority of Missouri, these folks proudly elected a Republican leader who will work hard to promote job creation, lower taxes and stay true to their core principles,” Todd Graves, Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party
