slayDisregarding his own city budget and the effect it would have on his ability to attract and hold on to business, Mayor Francis Slay is set to raise the city’s minimum wage to $15, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has reported.

The bill, which would be filed with the St. Louis Board of Aldermen by next week, would lift the city’s minimum wage to $15 by January 1, 2020. It would exempt small businesses that employ less than 15 people, or businesses that make less than $500,000 in gross sales he stated.
