St. Louis County Executive candidate, Rick Stream, visited the regularly scheduled meeting of the St. Louis County Republican Central Committee last night. Arriving to a standing ovation, Stream thanked all those that helped him in his bid for the County Executive seat. Citing various instances of voter irregularity and the closeness of the race, 1700 votes, he will most likely ask for a recount after the vote is certified. Of top concern was the lack of paper ballots and mass confusion at numerous polls.
The Central Committee voted unanimously to “support Rick Stream in his efforts towards a recount of his election.”
The St. Louis County Republican Central Committee is made up of men and women, elected in each Township, to represent the Republican Party.
