Yesterday, on the floor of the Missouri House of Representatives, Democrat Representative Jeff Roorda compared Republican Representative Holly Rehder to Nazi-era thugs while debating a labor bill.

This is latest in the long line of vicious name calling by Democrats when faced with uncomfortable positions. Which is disappointing from the self-described Party of progress and fairness.

Today, Chairman Ed Martin called for Representative Roorda to apologize to Representative Rehder, on the floor of the Missouri House. (See the statement here)

Chairman Martin said, “I would hope Representative Roorda sees fit to make this happen. I would not think voters in the 22nd Senate District would take to kindly to being represented by someone who invokes Nazi Germany on the Senate floor.”

Roorda is challenging Representative Paul Wieland in Senate District 22, in Jefferson County. The Missouri Republican Party has made this race a priority in 2014.
