Gov. Jay Nixon is in St. Louis today promoting a possible expansion of Boeing. According to KMOX:
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon is reportedly considering a special session to pass an incentive package. He is expected to discuss the issue with St. Louis business and civic leaders at a luncheon today hosted by Progress 64 West, a group that promotes development along the Interstate 64 corridor.
In his special session he will be asking Republicans to come up with special tax incentives for the company. It was just a few months ago just a few months ago that Nixon vetoed a bill that would provide tax incentives to induce all business to move to and expand in Missouri. Also, there has been a move by Republicans to remove labor restrictions in the state. This also has been rejected by the Governor.
