With the election of Jake Zimmerman to the County Assessor position this spring, Missouri’s 83rd Congressional seat became vacant. On November 8th a special election will be held to fill the seat.

This evening, the Republican 83rd District Committee met and unanimously nominated Pat Brennan of Overland, Missouri as their candidate for this election. Since this is a special election, party committees meet to select their candidates rather than hold a Primary.

Pat has been interested in politics over the past few years and has become “very concerned about the direction of the country.” This is his second attempt for this seat. From his first ever run for elected office last fall, Pat felt that he had a very positive response and is ready to try again.
